Synopsis
Hot Town is a take on the rhythmic stylings of old cartoons, in this instance taking inspiration from 'Hot Town' by Fess Williams and his Royal Flush Orchestra - combining traditional 2D, stop motion, wall paint, projected drawing and other forms of compositing, all shot on a Canon digital slr, Hot Town takes it all in to create some old style jitterbug fodder.
Fabian Dores Pais' 'Hot Town' was the winner of the Portable Film Festival Closing Film Competition on Eyeka, chosen from over a hundred entries. Eyeka is an online platform that enables brands, agencies and publishers to successfully engage with a whole lot of creative types for some new fangled community generated advertising!
By operating calls for entries against a community of 50.000 quality photographers, graphic designers and video creators, Eyeka enables brands to source tailored, quality user-generated content while ensuring brand control and operating within a defined legal framework.
