Synopsis

Taking on the outward appearances, and internal engines of video game storytelling, Machinima makes for an interesting intersection between animation and real time event recording to provide a natural state of digital theatre. And what would be more suitable for this kind of set-up than ye olde bard himself?

When the Eye Winks at the Hand is an adaptation of Shakespeare to machinima; a re-telling of Macbeth on the virtual stage, set in a war zone. Beth is having an affair with her husband Jack���¢�¯�¿�½�¯�¿�½s boss, Duncan. When Duncan rejects her, Beth tricks Jack into taking revenge. Who is betraying who?

Ely-Harper along with associates Angela Thomas and Kate Richards, also recently reimagined Macbeth in Second Life via Virtual Macbeth, an island dedicated to the exploration, adaptation and performance of the Scottish play, supported by the Australia Council���¢�¯�¿�½�¯�¿�½s Literature Board.
