Synopsis
For those of who have graduated from imaginary friends, the next (il)logical step may infact be the creation of an imaginary girlfriend. And for Jared, who's life has fallen apart at the seams since the departure of his amour Lily, getting some sewing and extreme delusion happening with a heap of her old clothes may just be a better option than the real thing.
Part fetish and part Frankenstein, 'Made Love' weaves an arresting and absurdly amusing story about a deranged man who will do anything to remedy his loneliness. Consumed by delusions, Jared falls head over high heels for his creation, a twisted lingerie golem. The doll mends his broken heart, and Jared just might have a chance at happiness. But when Lily returns unannounced to collect her things, will Jared unravel?
Made Love was the audience favourite at Cinequest. Cameron Baity is based in the States, and has worked on a wide array of projects, including Spongebob Squarepants, Team America, and Robot Chicken.
