While this film leaves
me speechless I sit
looking for the words to
describe the thoughts and
emotions what viewing
this piece evokes. The
depth of intrigue and
want to go further, know
more, hear more is what
I'm left with. How did
these two men's paths
cross? Fate? Destiny?
What will become of this
father of seven? How will
this magnificent film
change our
perspectives...or will
it? I'm anxious to see
the progress of this
movie and hope to be
fortunate enough to see
it in its entirety.
D-Nice has a phenomenal
future in film making.
Bravo..Well Done. class="caps">PEACE

Great story. I truly
enjoyed watching. I
believe the "Homeless
Emcee" needs an
opportunity to fulfill
his passion.

as captivating as
Brokeback Mountain. This
is edutainment and I wish
this video was played on
every prime time channel
and viewed by all kids
wanting to hit the
wayward path. I feel for
this man and for the sake
of his life I hope
someone with the means
gets off of these mean

Wow, this is the
definition of 'realness'.
Obviously the story is
deeply compelling, D-Nice
quickly elevates this
from the story of a
'homeless MC' to the
story of a homeless human
being with thoughts,
hopes, dreams and a soul.
And that really is the
point isn't it? No one is
really just amounts to
the label we stick on
them - we all have a
compelling story to tell.
The way D winds together
the interview segments
with the freestyle
segments really brings to
life the power of hip hop
to bring hope and
strength to peoples
lives. In that sense the
film is as much about hip
hop as it is about this
homeless class="caps">MC.
Just beautifully done.
Beyond that the actual
editing is amazing - the
way the scenes flow into
one another feels
natural, it all goes
together seamlessly. The
lighting effects are
effective without taking
away from the story, and
the soundtrack is
perfect, just enough
chaos to add to the
drama, just enough
cadence to move the film
along. I had no problems
giving this a 5, I've
said it before D-Nice is
serious bizness, his
music, his photography,
and his cinematography
are all fantastic. I hope
the world will discover
his talent soon...

I'm so inspired by
this man in so many
ways...his struggle, his
love for his craft, and
his ability to digest his
most painful
experiences...as an Emcee
and a former Homeless one
myself...I know this pain
all to well...D-Nice like
he's done in his
photography has delivered
a brilliant message that
transcends the fact that
a camera is
present...this ain't
actin' this is life
captured and revealed...a
great film

So many feelings and
Emotions are rushing
through me after watching
this, I don't know how or
where to begin. This is a
classic example of the
way you learn is what you
apply because it is all
that you know . The
homeless Emcee is a
product of someones
teachings who themselves
were taught wrong. The
difference with him is
that he recognizes that
he was he is and who he
is, but just doesn't know
how to escape the
clutches of the
negativity that he has
been surrounded with and
has experienced all his
life. With all of the
Ill's that would drive a
regular person crazy that
he has faced, he credits
Hip-Hop for supplying him
with therapy,

Intention

This is the story of a homeless rapper that director D-Nice met on the streets of Brooklyn, NY. After losing his mother at an early age, and being kicked out of several foster homes, he was forced to hit the streets and embark on a life of crime. Everyone deserves a chance at forgiveness.

Director D-Nice grew up in the Bronx and emerged as a rapper and producer in the 1980s, mentored by Scott la Rock, and developing his rapping abilities alongside KRS-One. He released two albums with Jive Records, and reached the top of Billboard's Rap charts, with the 1990 single 'Call Me D-Nice.' D-Nice now works as a photographer and DJ, and intends to turn his attention to filmmaking in the coming months.
